MBMJ is designed for confident individuals seeking self-expression through fashion.
Landing the Job
So, here’s the story: Back in my first year of college, I fell in love with the MBMJ brand. I became determined to land an internship there for the summer of 2013. So, I started sending them my new designs and illustrations every single week, like clockwork. Fast forward a few months, and I found myself on a plane to NYC for an interview. Out of 4,000+ applicants for the position, I was selected and became the youngest and only full-time design intern at the company.

Role & Process
During my internship at MBMJ, I had the honor to work and learn from the exceptional team of designers and brand visionaries. I created technical flats and pattern layouts for production, learned color-matching techniques, and contributed to in-depth inspiration sourcing of vintage archives and post-century designs for the collections. I also worked with stylists for the MBMJ resort campaign, assisting on-set to capture the collection.
My work with MBMJ gave me a wealth of knowledge and growth. I went on to apply my learnings to my own collection designs, a won a finalist scholarship from the 2014 CFDA /Teen Vogue fund.
